Ungulani Ba Ka Khosa is the pseudonym in the Tsonga language of Francisco Esaú Cossa, an important Mozambican writer, born on August 1^st, 1957 in the village of Inhaminga, in the central province of Sofala. Accompanying his parents, both nurses, he moved while still a child to Zambezia province where he lived in various places over the course of his childhood and adolescence, before enrolling at Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), in 1977, following the political recommendations of the first president Samora Machel.
