Dea Loher’s literary output dates back to 1991 and numbers over 20 plays, a collection of short stories, a novel, and an opera libretto. She is one of the most widely performed and celebrated contemporary playwrights in Germany, along with Albert Ostermaier, Roland Schimmelpfennig, and René Pollesch (Kapusta 280-297). Her dramatic works have been staged in many countries, including Switzerland, France, Great Britain, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Poland, the Czech Republic, Australia, Japan, and Brazil.
