Nicolas Dickner was born in Rivière-du-Loup (Quebec, Canada) in 1972 and studied Literature and Creative Writing in Quebec City. He obtained the Prix des libraires du Québec and the Prix Anne-Hébert for Nikolski in 2006 as well as a Governor General’s Award for the novel Six degrés de liberté in 2015. He is generally considered a “geek” author who incorporates numerous aspects of popular culture into his work. He has also published under the pseudonym Alexandre Bourbaki alongside Bernard Wright and the cartoonist Sebastien Trahan.
