In Polish literature of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, Marian Pankowski stands out as a unique, multifaceted phenomenon, not only because of the many literary genres that he practiced over the course of a literary career spanning more than six decades, but also in view of the specificity of the literary language he created and developed in these various genres.
