Craig Thompson (b.1975) is an American graphic novelist who gained critical acclaim upon publishing his autobiographical graphic novel Blankets (2003), winning several Harvey Awards, Eisner Awards, and Ignatz Awards for his artistry and writing. Thompson has published graphic novels encompassing a variety of themes, demonstrating a diverse portfolio of work across his years of publishing.

Born in 1975 in Traverse City, Michigan, Thompson grew up in the small rural town of Marathon, Wisconsin.
