Marie Clements is quickly establishing herself as a major Canadian playwright, director and performer. As Artistic Director of urban ink productions, a First Nations theatre company in Vancouver, she is in the vanguard of new performance; she has been involved in various ways in the development of over seventy productions of new work. As a writer, performer and producer, Clements engages with Aboriginal and multi-cultural issues, women's issues, and the realities of people living in the city core.
