Lydia Craig
Lydia Craig recently finished her PhD in Nineteenth Century Studies at Loyola University Chicago, studying depictions of social upstarts in the nineteenth-century novel. Her work on class, gender, and online database research has appeared in such publications as Dickens and Women Re-Observed (Edward Everett Root, 2020), Victorians, and Dickens Quarterly. Chapters on Charles Dickens's views of religious Preston and online research pedagogy will appear in The Theological Dickens (Routledge, 2021) and the Handbook of Corpus Linguistics (Bloomsbury, 2021). Recent encyclopedia entries on obscure nineteenth-century novelists "Caroline Scott," "Harriet Anne Scott," and "Bithia Mary Croker" can be accessed online at the Palgrave Encyclopedia of Victorian Women's Writing (Springer, 2020).
