Alberto Gelmi

Alberto Gelmi holds an M.A. in Romance Philology from the Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy) and received his PhD in Comparative Literature from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He is currently a visiting assistant professor of Italian at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie NY (USA). His research interests focus on medieval literature and philosophy, as well as its uses in contemporary arts. He also studies secular translations of the Bible in the 20th and 21st century. He collaborates with Heliotropia. A forum for Boccaccio research and interpretation. For LE he wrote three entries on Bonaventure of Bagnoregio, one on Boccaccio, and one on Tiziano Terzani.
