Suzette Ali

Suzette Ali holds a Ph. D. in French Literary Studies from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. Her dissertation discusses the problems of the transgression of the realistic conventions and characteristics in writing French novels. She also published several articles defending the presence of the author and the introduction of his own point of view in the narrated story after being theoretically excluded from the scene by these obsolete conventions. Her postdoctoral research entitled "Formal and Thematic Confusion between Fictional and Factual Writing in Contemporary Novels", investigates the poorly defined borders between fictional stories and facts. Before coming to Canada to continue her graduate studies, she was a student at Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon.
