Deborah Evans
Deborah Evans is a specialist in the work of French existential philosophers and writers Jean-Paul Sartre (1905 - 1980) and Simone de Beauvoir (1908 - 1986). She has published articles in the journals Sartre Studies International and Simone de Beauvoir Studies and has given conference papers in London, Oxford and Toronto. She has contributed essays to two volumes of collected works, Beauvoir and Sartre, The Riddle of Influence [eds. Diagle Christine and Golomb, Jacob, Indiana University Press, 2009] and Sartre's Second Century [eds. O'Donohoe, Benedict and Elveton, Roy, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2009]. She is currently preparing a monograph for Cambridge Scholars Publishing entitled, Sartre and Beauvoir, Public Images, Private Lives. Deborah was Treasurer of the UK Sartre Society 2007 - 2013.
