Emily O'Brien

Dr. Emily O'Brien is a research associate at the School of English, Trinity College Dublin, where she has taught and lectured on sixteenth-century literature, Shakespeare, and theatre. She received her PhD from Trinity College Dublin in 2013 for a thesis on early modern murder plays and pamphlets. Her doctoral studies were funded by a Trinity College Dublin studentship and an Irish Research Council scholarship. She was awarded an Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship. She is currently revising her doctoral research for publication as a monograph, and working on a number of article projects. She is a founder of the academic blog Shakespeare in Ireland.
