Akash Kumar

Akash Kumar is a Core Lecturer at Columbia University. His research focuses on the importing of science and philosophy in medieval Italian poetry, from the earliest poets to Dante's Divine Comedy. He has received Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships for his study of Italian and Arabic, and is currently working on a book on natural philosophy in poetry from the Sicilian School to Dante's rime petrose.
