Kathleen Godfrey

Dr. Kathleen Godfrey is a professor of English at California State University, Fresno and director of the San Joaquin Valley Writing Project. She was awarded a 2008 teaching in excellence award from the California Association of Teachers of English. As the Fulbright Roving Scholar for Upper Secondary Schools during the 2008-2009 school year, she traveled extensively throughout Norway presenting to high school teachers and students about American culture. A graduate of Arizona State University, her scholarly work has been published in SAIL: Studies in American Indian Literature, Southwestern American Literature and Western American Literature. She contributed the introductory essay on teaching vocabulary to Teaching Vocabulary: 50 Creative Strategies, Grades 6-12.
