Natalie Alvarez

Natalie Alvarez will be taking up a new post at Ryerson University's School of Performance, in the Faculty of Communication and Design, after having been Assistant Professor at Brock University. She has two edited books forthcoming on Latina/o-Canadian theatre and performance with Playwrights Canada Press and is currently working on a SSHRC-funded manuscript project entitled Enactments of Difference: Simulations and Performance From Military Training to Dark Tourism. Her work has appeared, or will appear, in Theatre Journal, the Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, Janus Head: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature, Continental Philosophy, and Phenomenological Psychology, New Canadian Realisms, CTR, and Codifying the National Self: Spectators, Actors, and the American Dramatic Text. She also serves as the co-editor of the Canadian Theatre Review's "Views and Reviews."
