Luca Saltini

After getting a degree in Philosophy at the Catholic University of Milan (Italy), he did his PhD in Literature at Geneva University (Switzerland). He has carried out activity for the Swiss National Science Foundation and for the Swiss Italian University of Lugano. He has been active in different fields, including political science, school history, Italian culture, publishing essays in magazines and book form. He writes cultural articles for different Italian and Swiss journals and periodicals. Luca Saltini is currently a researcher at the Canton Library of Ticino (Switzerland), where he is in charge of the cultural activities, the promotion of research projects and the use of the library's archives. He has supervised over twenty exhibitions of art and literature. His published books include: Il cantone Ticino negli anni del "Governo di Paese" (1922-1935) [The Canton Ticino in the years of the country government], Milan 2004; Maria Boschetti Alberti e il mondo culturale ticinese (1900-1950) [MBA and the Swiss Italian cultural world], Bellinzona 2004; Il viaggiatore della parola. G.B. Angioletti (1896-1961) [The word traveler. G.B. Angioletti] , Locarno 2007 (Winner of the Literary International Prize Cesare Angelini of the University of Pavia).
