Emma Bird

Emma is researching a PhD at the University of Exeter entitled Reimagining Bombay: Postcolonial Poetry and Urban Space. The project considers the relationship between poetry and the urban environment, and focuses on the work of the Bombay poets Arun Kolatkar, Adil Jussawalla, Gieve Patel, and Arvind Krishna Mehrotra. Wider research interests include: postcolonial poetry, postcolonial aesthetics, and Indian literature in English.
