Melissa Johnson

Melissa C. Johnson is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Focused Inquiry at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She earned a Ph.D. in twentieth-century British literature and Women's Studies and an M.F.A. in poetry at the University of South Carolina. She has published scholarly essays on Vivien Eliot, Grace Nichols, pedagogy in the Harry Potter novels, teaching with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the television series Jessica Jones and Firefly.
