Kirsti Bohata
Kirsti Bohata is Director of CREW (Centre for Research into the English Literature and Language of Wales) and Associate Professor of English Literature at Swansea University. The author of an important study of angolphone Welsh culture and postcolonial theory, Postcolonialism Revisited: Writing Wales in English (2004), she is currently completing a monograph on same-sex desire and social disorder in the fiction of Amy Dillwyn (1835-1945) with the support of an AHRC Fellowship. A co-edited collection of essays on the border writer, Margiad Evans (1909-1948), Rediscovering Margiad Evans: Gender, Marginality and Illness was published by University of Wales Press in February 2013.
Kirsti taught at the Universities of Glamorgan and Stuttgart, and worked for several years as Publishing Grants Officer at the Welsh Books Council, before taking up her post at Swansea University in 2007.
