G Dianne Shober

Prof Dianne Shober is head of the English department of the University of Fort Hare in South Africa. She teaches first year through honours classes and supervises honours and masters students working on projects ranging from African literature to popular culture. She has published four books: Communicating with a Vision, Essential Business Communication Writing English With Style and Climbing Higher: The Literary Life of Sindiwe Magona as well as articles interrogating South African and Modern literature, Women in Higher Education and University literacy. In 2011 she was nominated for the Vice Chancellor's Teaching Excellence award for her commitment to teaching and student development.
