Scott Slawinski

Scott Slawinski holds degrees from SUNY-Buffalo (BA), University of Alabama (MA), and University of South Carolina (PhD). He is the author of Validating Bachelorhood: Audience, Patriarchy, and Charles Brockden Brown's Editorship of the Monthly Magazine and American Review (2002) and has edited a collected edition of Sukey Vickery's writings, Emily Hamilton and Other Writings (2009). While he teaches widely in British and American literature, his research has come to focus on women writers of the early republic. He is currently at work on a biography and critical introduction to the works of Sally Wood.
