Paul Roche

Paul Roche, who holds a PhD from the University of Otago, is Lecturer in Latin at the University of Sydney. He has taught widely in Classics and Ancient History at Sydney, and at the Universities of Queensland, Otago, and New England. He has published a number of articles and chapters on the literature and political history of the early Roman empire. He is the author of a commentary on the first book of Lucan’s epic poem De Bello Civili. In progress are Writing Politics in Imperial Rome (co-ed.), and an edited collection of essays on the Panegyricus of the Younger Pliny.
