Christopher Abram
Christopher Abram is Associate Professor of the literary cultures of early medieval northern Europe, especially Anglo-Saxon England and Viking-Age and later Norway and Iceland. Before Notre Dame he was a lecturer in Medieval Scandinavian Studies at University College London. His PhD (Cambridge, 2004) was focused on Old Norse mythic narratives connected with the afterlife. His current research deals with the transmission and reception of the Eddas, with religious change and conversion in Scandinavia, and with early Christian writing in Old Norse.
