David Higgins

I am Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Leeds. My research on Romantic prose writing is reflected in my first book, Romantic Genius and the Literary Magazine (Routledge, 2005). I am also interested in the relationship between research and teaching. I have written a book on Frankenstein for undergraduates (Continuum, 2008) and recently co-edited two books: Studying English Literature (Continuum, 2010) and Teaching Romanticism (Palgrave, 2010). My current research project has the working titles of Romantic Geographies of the Self: Englishness, Empire, and Identity, 1780-1850.
