Marc J. Schweissinger

Marc Schweissinger is a Lecturer for German at Cardiff University, School of Modern Languages. Before I came to Cardiff I worked at the German Department at the University of Kassel in in Germany as a Research Assistant and Lecturer in the field of Modern German Literature and Language. At Cardiff University I started as a Foreign Language Assistant for German in the year 2001, since than I became a Language Tutor and later a University Teacher at the School of Modern Languages, since autumn 2018 I am a Lecturer. Besides my teaching and research responsibilities, I deal with various administrative duties, curriculum design and other obligations. I have a distinguished track record of research in the field of modern German literature. My primary research interests lie in modern German literature,- literary studies, comparative literature and linguistics and translation studies. I am the vice-chairman of the Gerhart Hauptmann Gesellschaft, a member of the Goethe Society, a member of ESRA Shakespeare Society a board member of GSTF [Global Science and Technology Forum]. Fellowship Higher Education Academy.
