Grace Moore

Grace Moore is an Associate Professor of Victorian literature and culture at the University of Otago, New Zealand. In the past, she has taught at the University of Bristol (UK), the University of Idaho (USA), the the University of Melbourne (Australia). Most recently, she was a Senior Research Fellow with the Australian Research Council's Centre for the History of Emotions. Her research interests include Victorian crime fiction, Dickens, Trollope, the History of Emotions, and the Environmental Humanities: she has published in all of these areas. She is the author of Dickens and Empire (which was shortlisted for the NSW Premier’s Award for Literary Scholarship in 2006) and The Victorian Novel in Context (Continuum, 2012). Her most recent book is the co-edited collection, Victorian Environments (with Michelle J. Smith, Palgrave 2018). Her current book project is on Anthony Trollope and the Environment.
