Dagmar C. G. Lorenz

Dagmar C. G. Lorenz is Professor of Germanic Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In her research she focuses on nineteenth and twentieth-century German and Austrian literature and culture, German-Jewish writing, and Holocaust literature and film. She was the editor of The German Quarterly from 1997 to 2003 and served as Vice President and President of MALCA (Modern Austrian Literature and Culture Association) from 2001-2007. Her book publications include Keepers of the Motherland: German Texts by Jewish Women Writers (1997), and Verfolgung bis zum Massenmord. Diskurse zum Holocaust in deutscher Sprache (1992) as well as edited volumes: From Fin-de-Siecle to Theresienstadt: The Works and Life of the Writer Elsa Porges-Bernstein (2007), ed. Dagmar C. G.
