Diana Evans was born in London in the early 1970s. She is of British-Nigerian origin and still lives in London with her family. Before starting her writing career, she was a dancer in an African and Caribbean troupe based in Brighton called ‘Mashango’. Evans has contributed as a freelance writer for The Guardian, The Independent, The Stage, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar and other newspapers and magazines. She received an MA in creative writing from the University of East Anglia and her short fiction was broadcast by BBC Radio 4.
