A little later the author changed the play’s title to Arthur Aronymus und seine Väter, subtitled Aus meines geliebten Vaters Kinderjahren. Schauspiel in fünfzehn Bildern [Arthur Aronymus and His Fathers. From the Childhood of my Beloved Father. Play in Fifteen Pictures], and subsequently the text has been reprinted under both titles. The premiere took place in 1936 in Zurich, where Lasker-Schüler was forced to live in exile.
